Jesus called our mom home on February 17, 2018. Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday February 24, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday February 24, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Mom (Loyce Milford Yancy ) was born December 31, 1926 to John and Mary Milford in Knox County, Texas along with her identical twin sister. She married the love of her life, Forrest D Yancy on November 7, 1947. During her years she attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where she participated in many activities. She was employed by Abilene ISD in the food services until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Forrest; son, Brian Yancy; her parents, and her twin sister, Joyce Walling.

Mom is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Tim) Johnston, of Plano; her son, Bruce (Linda) Yancy, of Abilene; grandchildren, Kelly (Ben) Broyles, of Abilene, Timothy (Alex) Johnston, of Dallas, Kimberly (Heath) Harlow, of Abilene, and Allison Johnston, of Richardson; great grandchildren, Bryson Broyles, Kyler Broyles and Ava Johnston; brother in law, Buddy (Sue) Yancy, of Ballinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hendrick Hospital and Hendrick Hospice, with special gratitude to Mary, Debbie and Dr. Lauren Templeton for the wonderful care you provided our mom.

A special thank you is also due to her special caregiver Cynthia Cusipag.
