Ada Lee, 88, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2010 at her home in Abilene. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be from 3 till 5 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Ada was born on January 15, 1921 in Electra, Texas to John and Dora Banks. She attended North Texas University. She married James Lee on June 2, 1945 and they enjoyed fifty years of marriage until his passing in 1995. Ada was a member of First United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters for over fifty years and served as the Grand Chief of Texas in 19821983. She and James served as houseparents for Abilene Childrens Home where she was able to share her love of taking care of children.
One of her greatest loves was taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who were able to experience her love and kindness.

Ada is survived by her daughter, Sandi Robinson and husband Tim of Abilene two grandchildren, Jamie Lee of Abilene, and Justin Lee of Dallas one brother and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
