On September 16, 1918, a redheaded baby girl was born to Ted and Barbara Willoughby. They named her Agnes Faye. She later attended the Berryhill School and graduated from Lueders High School as Valedictorian of her class. At only 5 feet inches she wouldnt let us forget the inch she was a basketball star..her favorite sport. On February 15, 1942, she married Arthur B. Young and they moved to Abilene in 1949 where they raised three children.
Faye and A.B. were charter members of Southwest Park Baptist Church where Faye taught Sunday School classes from children to adults for many years and once received a 25year Perfect Attendance Award.
Faye truly dedicated her life to her family, and there was nothing she loved more than family gettogethers. She was a wonderful cook and everyone knew they could always get something good to eat at Fayes. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh.even if on herself. She was loving and generous to all and a mighty prayer warrior for her family.
Her husband, her parents, a brother, Carl Willoughby, and a son, Richard Young preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Randy Young and wife Rose Marie daughter, Linda Berger daughterinlaw, Sue Young three sisters, Ruby Hahn, Tussy Patty, and Norma Ford 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
