Alicia Sierra Molina, 67, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Abilene. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday with Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South.
Alicia was born on May 5, 1946 in Robstown, Texas where she grew up until she moved to Abilene in 1966. She worked at Marin Linen for several years before going to work in the laundry department at Hendrick Medical Center where she was employed for over 30 years. Alicia was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Sierra Molina and Margarita Molina three grandchildren, Katalina, Cruz and Adelina Molina two sisters, Elvira Dominguez Delfino, Anita Martinez David her brothers, Pete Munguia Rose, Jose Sierra Norma and Ruben Sierra Erma her sisterinlaw, Lena Jaquez special friend, Jose Contreras and 19 nieces and nephews.
Her husband Aniseto Gomez Cheto Molina, her parents, Jose DeLaCruz Sierra and Adelina Garcia Sierra, and her brother, Gilbert Munguia preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hendrick Hospice Care, Encompass Home Health and Dr. Schultz and staff for their compassionate care of Alicia throughout her illness.
