Alicia Gallardo Smith, 75, of Abilene passed away January 17, 2020 in Abilene.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11 AM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
Alicia was born on August 13, 1944 in Negros, Philippines to the late Juan Gallardo and Felisa Jara Gallardo. She married William Farrell Smith on August 23, 1975 and were blessed with 40 years together until his passing on August 10, 2016. Alicia loved to cook, and her family and friends enjoyed eating her cooking, especially her brownies. She loved spending time with her family and friends laughing and traveling. Alicia recently retired from Walmart after 24 ½ years of service.
Alicia is survived by her children, her daughter, Stacey Lenderman and husband Tim of San Antonio, Texas, her two sons, Jeff Gallardo and wife Candace of Vancouver, Washington; and Robert Smith and wife Aimee of Puyallup, Washington; her grandchildren, Shelby and husband Kent of Houston, Texas, Lindsie Streng and husband Jesse of Buckeye, Arizona, Rebecca Kalemba and husband Brian of Tacoma, Washington and Brandon Gallardo and wife Tilly of Vancouver, Washington; her great grandchildren, Major and Emery Streng, parents of Lindsie and Jesse, Bennett Kalemba, parents of Rebecca and Brian;
