Allene Massingill

Allene Massingill, 91 passed away May 29th, 2014 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday June 1st 2014 at Elmwood Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Damon Parker officiating. Private burial will be held at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Allene was born to Allen and Ruby Sutton on May 28th, 1923 in Quitaque Texas. She spent most of her adult life in Snyder and Abilene Texas. Allene married J.C. Jay Masingill on November 9, 1940 in Snyder. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2010. She worked as a bookkeeper for Grimmett Brothers Inc. in Snyder until her retirement. She was a member of HOPE Church of Christ.

Allene is survived by a daughter Linda Beason and her husband Danne of Hammon Oklahoma, a
Son Gary Massingill of Houston, and a son Kim KB Massingill and his wife Laura of Abilene, her sister Lanell Bomar, and three sisterinlaws, Ann Sutton, Barbara Sutton, and Doris Sutton. Allene is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three greatgreat grandchildren.
