Anna Dell Farr, 67, of Abilene, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2015 with her family and friends by her side.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 12 at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Anna was born on December 21, 1947 in Abilene, TX to Wray Cearley and Anna Bell Hargus Cearley. She attended Stamford High School and graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in Sweetwater. Anna began working as an LVN and was a member of the last graduating class from Anson General Hospital. Anna worked as a Paramedic/ Flight Nurse for 30 plus years in Abilene. She was dedicated to helping the sick and injured was known as "Trauma Momma" to those she worked with and served. She was recognized as Outstanding Women of Texas Midwest and received Outstanding Paramedic of the Year for Abilene in 1989.
Anna met Henry Rodriguez in 1995 and began a wonderful and happy life that lasted 20 years and that love still lives on. Anna was an exceptional cook and very artistic in everything she did. She had a deep and abiding love for her family and friends with her grandchildren being one of her greatest inspirations and loves. Anna will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She was a long time Baptist and relied heavily on her faith, not only in her personal life, but in her professional life.
Anna is survived by her husband, Henry Rodriguez; son, Jody Farr and wife Susanna of Fort Worth; daughter, Kamri Rodriguez Vaughan and husband Bobby of Treasure Island, FL; grandchildren, Brittany Farr, Anna C. Farr, Brody Farr, Tamrie Rodriguez, Taylor Rodriguez, Melany Russell, Teresa Russell and Sydney Vaughan; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Wrayina Churchwell and husband John, Sylvia Webber, Betty Bradshaw and husband Richard; brother, Jimmie Cearley and wife Brenda; numerous nieces and nephews; fur babies.
The family would like to thank Metro Care Ambulance of Abilene for going above and beyond for taking her on her final end of shift transport. Honorary Pallbearers will be Air Evac Life Team, Abilene Fire Department and Metro Care Ambulance.
