Archie Robert Brannon, 69, of Abilene passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020, in Abilene. Archie was born on September 22, 1950, in Abilene, Tx., to the late Archie Monroe Brannon and Laveda Mildred Brannon. In May 1973, he married the love of his life, Kathy Dumas in Abilene.

Archie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Brannon; 2 sons, Robert (Robbie) Charles Brannon and wife Erin, their children Emerson, Brielle and Elissa; Patrick Heath Brannon and wife Lynx their children Paige and Leigha; 3 sisters, Diedra Brannon Cox, Rhoda Brannon Robbins and Caralee Brannon Lamb.

A private funeral service will be held on April 30, 2020, at 10:00 am at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Due to restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 virus, service attendance will be limited. If you would like to attend the chapel service, we ask that you remain inside your vehicle once in the parking lot and tune your radio to 105.7 FM for the funeral broadcast. We will also be Live Streaming, go to his obituary at www.elmwoodfuneral.com and click on the live stream at the bottom of the page.

The family appreciates your attendance but wants everyone to be safe during this time. Private interment will follow at Texas State Veterans of Abilene.

A Celebration of life with full Military Honers will be scheduled at a later date once restrictions are lifted! We will post that time at a later date! We hope everyone will be able to come at that time!
