Arrie Cummings

Our sweet Mammy, age 96, went to be with the Lord, she so faithfully served, on January 28, 2012. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, seamstress, and cake baker. She made many wedding cakes, including most of her grandchildrens. We will miss her sweet smile and her funny stories everyday Visitation will be from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Monday, January 30, 2012 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Esequiel Pecina. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Parks Garden of Ten Commandments

She was born October 14, 1915 to Benjamin and Mary Kelley, in Kaufman, Tx. She married Eldred Cummings on August 12, 1933, in Clayton, NM. They settled in Amarillo, Tx and raised two daughters Nanette and Betty. She moved to Abilene from Whitesboro, Tx, in 2000.

She is survived by daughter, Betty Mullins of Abilene soninlaw, Jim Anderson Virginia her grandchildren, Tawney Poulsen David, Rebecca Fuentes Carlos lll., Myla Mitchell Barry, Merret Mullins Averi, Bill Moor, Leslie Neal Tommy, April Loewen, Amber Anderson, Melanie Anderson, and Leslie Anderson her great grandchildren, Carla, Jordan, Brooklyn, Sydney, Lindsey, Brianna, Autumn, Mariah, Brittany, Adrianne, Kelley, Kaly Ben, Kristyn, Bethany, and Jamie her great great grandchildren Madasyn, Cy, Ryder, Rayden, Cash, Audry, and Caiden.

She was preceded in death by her husband her daughter, Nanette Anderson grandson, David Anderson soninlaw, Jim Mullins her parents three brothers and one sister.

We all have wonderful memories and were so blessed that she was chosen to be our Mammy.
