Aurora Gamez, 82, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at an Abilene Care Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, October 27, 2014 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Gamez was born on Oct, 20, 1932 in Georgetown, Tx. After her marriage to Joe Gamez, she raised her family in Lamesa, where she was a housewife. She has lived in Abilene 30 years and was a Baptist. Aurora stayed at home and took care of her children.

Survivors include sister, Lupe Gomez eight children, Juan Gamez and wife Sylvia, Raul H. Gamez and wife Mary, Sylvia Delacruz and husband Pedro of Abilene, Maria Gonzales and husband Mike of Amarillo, Elena Hernandez of Abilene, Daniel Gamez and wife Becky of Amarillo, Joe Gamez and wife Jennifer of Abilene, Elaine Serrano and husband Joe of Amarillo numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
