Barbara Ann Aulseybrook, 63, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her memorial service will be 10:00 AM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Larry Baird.
Barbara was born June 6, 1946 in Knox City, TX to Garland and Maurita Dooley. She attended Abilene schools and was a 1966 graduate of Abilene High School. She started working at LaJet in the early 80s and then changed to Friendze where she worked for several years. Barbara had a special talent for designing and creating beautiful jewelry. She was a member of the Abilene Gem Club for a while. She married Norman Aulseybrook in 2003. Soon after her marriage she began working as an Administrative Assistant at McMurray University where she was recently recognized and received her five year pin. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Barbara was very talented and successful at everything she tried whether it was making jewelry, pottery, or painting glass. She was very giving and loved to bless everyone she knew with special gifts that she had made. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all those who experienced her love.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Norm Aulseybrook three children, Angela Knapp and husband Danny, Janice Stewart and husband Bert, William Bouford and wife Debbie ten grandchildren three greatgrandchildren stepmother, Mackey Dooley two sisters, Brenda Evans and husband Pat, and Betty McGinty and husband Mack one stepbrother, Dan Williams two aunts, Frances Moore of Bryan, TX and Jo Ann Henderson and husband Sam of Navasota, TX her lifelong best friend, Nancy Giles several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bob Dooley.
