Barbara Dean

Barbara Riddle Dean, 79, passed away Monday, October 15, 2007 in Oakwood, Georgia where she had lived the past 2 years. A graveside service with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 20th in the Water Rill Section of Elmwood Memorial Park, under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Mrs. Dean was born on July 2, 1928 in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High in 1946. She attended Texas Womens College and in March of 1951 married L.C. Dean Jr. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Foster and husband Rev. Alan Foster of Flowery Branch, GA; two sons, Steve Dean and wife Laurie of Allen, Texas and Mike Dean of Oakwood, GA; grandchildren, Ben Dean, Virginia Foster, Buddy Foster, Brad Dean and Alex Dean; one great grandchild, Rachel Dean; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Joyce Riddle of Abilene; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Eagle Ranch, PO Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502-0500.
