Barbara Petersen

Barbara Petersen passed away Saturday. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Barbara was born September 7, 1940 to James and Lorena Sumners in Brownwood, Texas. She enjoyed working and was an avid reader. She was a very soft spoken, yet strong lady. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete Petersen; and her sister, Ineta Cook.

Barbara is survived by her son, Jeff Petersen, his wife Kathi, and their two children, Michael and Elizabeth; one sister, Nelda Kossa; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
