Barbara Scott

Barbara Scott, 75, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at University Church of Christ, 733 E.N. 16th Street, Abilene, TX, with Jack Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park in the Garden of the Ten Commandments, 5750 Hwy 277, Abilene, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm at Elmwood Funeral Home.
She was born in Abilene, Texas on June 12, 1935 to Loyd and Boots Hill. She lived in Abilene most all her life. She attended Abilene Christian University, where she met her husband, Ray Scott. They were married for 42 years until Rays passing in 1996. They were long time members of the Highland Church of Christ. She resided in the Dallas area for the last 3 years of her life, to be close to her children. She had a deep love for the Lord and was a very loving, caring and unselfish person, who would do anything for the happiness of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Scott, and her father and mother, Loyd and Boots Hill.
Survivors include children, Tim Scott of Abilene, TX, Donna Rizzuto and husband Jerry of Richmond, TX, Phillip Scott and wife Faye of Desoto, TX, and Connie Johnson of McKinney, TX a brother, Jack Hill of Abilene, TX 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
