Barbara Sparks

Barbara Alice Sparks, 80, passed away November 19, 2013 in Kansas, City. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 25, 2013 at Broadview Baptist Church, 2500 South 27th Street.

Barbara was born February 23, 1933 in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.
She loved traveling returning home to Massachusetts and Kansas City to visit daughter Debbie were her favorite destinations. She worked for many years as a nanny, where she was loved by the children she cared for and was adopted by the families she worked for.
She loved her dachshunds, Rocky and Bridgett. She enjoyed music and actually passed away while listening to her favorite song, Jesus Loves Me.

Barbara is survived by daughter, Debbie and soninlaw, Neil Day of Overland Park, Kansas stepson, Jack Sparks of Taos, New Mexico sisterinlaw, Helen Levesque of Fairhaven, Massachusetts grandchildren, Deanna Marshall of Kansas City, Missouri, Erick Lee of Shawnee, Kansas, and Brandis Perry of Colorado Springs, Colorado and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sparks mother and father, Adeline and Ernest Levesque brother, Donald Levesque and daughter, Sheryl Perry.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Taylor County Humane Society, Rescue Animals, or Love and Care Ministries.
