Barbara Thomas

Barbara Jean Thomas, 60, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Abilene. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap RD.

Barbara was born on May 22, 1949 in Pecos where she grew up and graduated from High School. She lived in various places before coming to Abilene in 1994 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Barbara was a selfless, amazing woman. She gave to others unconditionally, never expecting anything in return. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and no one will ever be able to match her delicious potato soup.

Survivors include her son, Brad Thomas of Abilene; four grandchildren who lovingly called her Memaw, Lindsey, Hailey, Codey and River Thomas; and best friend, Becky SoRelle and son Eric SoRelle.

Her husband Ray Thomas preceded her in death.
