Barbara Washam

Barbra Ann Wilson Washam, 77, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2012 in Abilene, TX. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1741 Sayles Blvd. Entombment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Parks Mausoleum III.
Barbara Ann was born December 2, 1934 in Borger, TX. She graduated from Borger High School in 1953. She graduated from McMurry University in 1957 and later received her Masters degree from the University of Houston. She retired from teaching after 33 years and married Bob Washam in November 1991. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Renewers Sunday School Class. She was a member of McMurry Universitys Gamma Sigma, loved to travel and see the world, and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband two daughters two sons six grandchildren her brother and sisterinlaw and many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested in Barbaras honor to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1741 Sayles Blvd, Abilene, TX 79605
