Beatrice Anderson

Beatrice Anderson, 75, was born the 4th child to Isom and Mamie Lee Murry September 11, 1938 in Marlin, Texas. She later moved to Abilene where the attended Woodson Elementary and Woodson High School. She later united with Hollis Anderson, and to this union Regina Anderson and William Hall were added.
After years of service at Hendrick Hospital in the Xray department, she briefly worked with American General Life Insurance Co. and Goodwill Industries. She also worked in Home Health Care Services until disabilities became a factor.
Known to all as Aunt Bea, her likes were cooking and shopping, but she absolutely loved children, yours, mines and theirs. She raised a lot of us and she will be sorely missed by all of us.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Anderson father, Isom Murry Sr. mother, Mamie Lee Murry sister, Johnnie Mae Thomas sister, Minnie Lee Baxter brother, James Willie Murry.
Survivors include daughter, Regina Anderson of Abilene son, William Hall of Abilene sister, Margaret Murry of Abilene brother, Isom Murry Jr. and wife, Jessie Mae of Plainview grandsons, Reginald Anderson of Abilene William Hall Jr. of Abilene and Michael Hall of Ft. Worth granddaughter, Mieshal Hall of Dallas 5 great grandchildren, numerous cousins and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hendrick Hospice Care and staff. Your kind expression of sympathy was most comforting and greatly appreciated.
