Beatriz Samaniego

Beatriz Samaniego, 46, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Abilene. A rosary will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, September 13, 2021 at Saint Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood St, Abilene, Texas. Interment will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Beatriz was born January 9, 1975 to Manuel and Raquel Samaniego in Rio Grande Zacatecas Mexico. She moved to Abilene in 1994. She is preceded in death by her parents. Beatriz loved to cook and was wonderful at it. She worked for many restaurants in Abilene over the years. Beatriz had a strong faith and was a member of St Francis Catholic Church. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas. Every year Beatriz would cook a delicious meal and invite family and friends to help her celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Beatriz had a laugh that was infectious and would fill the room with joy. More than anything Beatriz was a wonderful mother who not only filled her home with love for her sons but was immensely proud of them. Beatriz is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Beatriz is survived by her partner of 18 years, Ciro Mendez; three sons, Alejandro Mendez, Jose Mendez, and Sebastian  Mendez; her siblings, Juana Garcia, Angel Samaniego, Adrian Samaniego, Manuela Samaniego, Diana Garcia, and Jovanny Samaniego; a special niece, Mayra Devora; and numerous, nieces and nephews.
