Benny Trevino peacefully passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. He was loved and will be missed dearly. A visitation in Belton, TX will be, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, 503 N Main in Belton. A visitation in Abilene will begin at 6:00 PM with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South in Abilene. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, February 27, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 837 Jeanette St. in Abilene.
Benny was born on April 22, 1946 in Belton, Texas to Ray and Eva Trevino. Benny grew up in Belton and moved to Abilene where he lived the remainder of his life. He graduated from Belton High School, Temple Jr. College and Mary Hardin Baylor where he received a Bachelor's of Applied Science. He served in the military for 3 years from 1965-1968.
He worked at First National Bank for 35 years where he became Vice President of ATM Technical Support. Benny was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he participated in the choir for many years. Benny also loved to take pictures, enjoyed traveling, collecting tools and getting the new gadgets. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Benny is survived by his five children; Kristina Trevino of Abilene, Jason Trevino and wife Gina of Abilene, Joe Trevino and wife Christina of Belton, Anna Trevino of Abilene and Jon Trevino and wife Crystal of Abilene; and 14 grandchildren.
Those that preceded him in death are his parents, Ray and Eva Trevino; brother, Alesander Trevino; sister, Stella Trevino; and Son, Erik Trevino.
Benny was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
