Beth Johnson

September 24, 1926 — December 20, 2017

Sarah Elizabeth Johnson (Beth) went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2017. She was born on September 24, 1926 in Haskell, Texas to parents, Cora and Travis Arbuckle. She was currently living in Flower Mound Texas. She was married to J.D. Johnson who passed away in 2000. Beth was a bright spot in everyone's day! She always had a smile on her face and a kind word. She loved her family and her precious grandchildren enriched her life so much. You could always spot Beth around Abilene with her red hair, flashy clothes and her perfectly done Merle Norman make up! She always appreciated the little things in life. Always loving and grateful even in her last hours.

Her siblings that preceded her in death were George Jenkins, Graydale Jenkins, Theron Jenkins and Marshall Jenkins.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hilliard of Weatherford, TX and Jan Brooks and husband Don of Flower Mound, TX; her grandchildren, Dustin Sturgill, Spencer Hilliard, Josh Hilliard and Hillary Brooks; her great grandchildren, Isabelle Sturgill, James Sturgill and Ripken Hilliard.

There will be a visitation Friday, December 22, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 23, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

The family suggest memorial donations in Beth's honor to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
