Betty (affectionally known to many as Mama Betty) was born April 22,1926 to Richard and Myrtle Hagler. In 1941, she married Chester Campbell who proceeded her in death in 1971. Betty lived in Slaton, Tx until the family moved to Abilene in 1953 where she worked as a nurses’ aide and physical therapist aide until her retirement. She moved from Abilene to Farmington, NM in April of 2018. She spent her final years with her children that live in the Four Corners area.

Betty was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. When her health failed, she missed travelling around being involved in her children, grandchildren, and great-great children's activities. She also took pleasure watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers play. Her family will always remember her biscuits and chocolate syrup and her brownies.

Those left to cherish her memories are her seven daughters, Ruth (Jack) Jones, Mary (Earl) Lang, Betty Lois (Dwight) Griffith, Etta Jane Risley, Berta Nell Tarrant, Delores Elliott, Judy Winkler; her seven sons, Jim (Carolyn), Bobby (Charlene), Winifred (Jean), Darrel (Cindy), Johnny (Jennifer), Ronnie (Janell), Michael (Holly), 40 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great grandchildren, her sister, Etta Dee (Bill) Adkins, special niece, Marilyn (Keith) Jones, special nephew, Ronald (Benje), and numerous great nieces and nephews.
