Betty Miller

Betty L. Miller, 87, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. A private family service was held under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.

Betty was born April 25,1932 in Stafford, Kansas to Alfred and Ruth Byer. Betty met a man by the name of Herbert Miller and the two were joined in marriage on September 12, 1952. Herbert was a Chief Master Sargent in the United States Airforce. Betty was a supportive military wife and the family was stationed at several bases until finally making their way to Dyess Air Force Base in 1971. Abilene soon became home for the couple and their family. Betty could be found riding her beloved horses while being followed by her dogs. Above all things Betty loved and cared for her family with her whole heart. She was very loved and will be forever missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her granddaughter, Lindsey Miller.

Betty is survived by her children, Steven Miller, Stanley Miller, Gary Miller, Gina Doty and husband Robert, and Lisa Zahn and husband John; her grandchildren, Garrett Miller and wife Jennifer, Lauren Miller, Kacie Finkler and husband Kyle, and Jacob Doty; and her siblings, Margie and Bill.
