Betty Wicker

January 25, 1929 — April 17, 2024

Betty Marie Wicker was born January 25,1929, in the state of California, raised by her father Lee Parks in Winters, Tx. Betty graduated from Ballinger High School in 1946, then married Billy B. Massey in 1947. She attended Draughons Business College in 1947 and then moved to Austin to help her husband Billy get through pharmacy school at the University of Texas. She married Louis C. Wicker, in 1973 until his death in 2002.


She is survived by daughter Suzanne and son-in-law Joel Matzke of Clyde; son Thomas B. Massey and daughter-in-law Nancy A. Massey of Abilene; grandson Austen B. Massey of Rockport, Texas.


Betty had a long and joyful life doing the things she loved, such as golfing, gardening, sewing, painting. She was a very talented artist and seamstress. Raised in a small town by a single farmer, she was a wonderful mom and friend. We love you and miss you. Until we meet again.
