Bill Copeland

Bill Copeland 72 of Eula, passed away on Friday December 19, 2014 at Hendricks Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Bill was born to Joe Ruth Copeland on March 12, 1942 in McAllen Texas. He grew up around Stamford Tex. In 1969 the family moved to Spokane Washington until 1982 then moved to Abilene.

Bill was a CarpenterTile Setter for 55 years. He was a good honest hard working man. After retiring in 2001 he found a new love, planting a garden that always became too big to handle, but he loves making sure everyone he knew had plenty of vegetables. Special thanks to his friends whom helped with his garden, Bruce Campbell Bob Collins.

Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Copeland of Eula Sons, Nick Copeland of Abilene, Scott Tina Copeland of Lindale daughters, Kathy Tommy Montez of Abilene, Stacy Neal Flores of Eula, Amy Velasquez of Abilene, Ricky Copeland of Houston Special Nephew sisters, Ann Jack Roseberry of Hurst, Mary Jo Mike Thomas, Rhonda Allsworth, Tiny Polston, Beth Franklin, Nelda Lewis brothers, Bud Cavitt, Jerry Cavitt, Curtis Cavitt and his canine companion Snickers.

He was known as Papa to his 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Ruth Rice and Joe Opal Copeland, daughter Terri Lynn Copeland, great grandson Braxton Ryan Trevino Jones. Brothers Glen Copeland, Jerry Done Copeland, Sisters Shirley Copeland, Barbara Ruth Hopper, Melba Jordon, Lois Teichelman, Darlene Echols.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Special thanks to the Clyde EMS, ER nurses Doctors, and Respiratory at Hendricks for the compassion during our time there.
