Bill Wheeler, 91, and a WWII Veteran, was called to Heaven on July 29, 2014 in Abilene.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be Friday, 9 AM August 1, 2014, at ElliotHamil Garden of Memories, 5701 US Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Elmwood Funeral Home, located 5750 US Hwy 277 South.
Bill was born to Fred and Ibis Wheeler in Concord, Tennessee on February 9, 1923. He was the third of six siblings. Bill proudly served his country in World War II in the Army. He married Emma Wilburn on March 1, 1957 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Bill worked as a welder and was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his wife, Emma one son, Timothy four daughters, Cynthia Daniels and husband Ray, Melody Hedden and husband Doc, Pam Adkins and husband Kenneth of Abilene, Tonya Wieck and husband James of Lancaster, California.
Bill was blessed with ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
