Billie Orbison

Sue Orbison departed this earth to meet her Lord at 5:05 a.m. Thursday, the 28th of September, 2017, in Mineola, Texas. She was 90 years of age and was a faithful Christian for all of her adult life. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 30, 2017 at Albany Church of Christ, 500 North Main. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Orbison, Sr. of Brownsville, Texas;
her parents, Charles & Nola Parker of Bowie, Texas; her sisters, Janette Lawson of Irving, Texas, and Emogene Shurtleff of Bowie, Texas; and her brother, C.B. Parker of Seguin, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Mitchell of Mineola, Texas; her daughter, Vicki Mullins and her husband Kent of Mineola, Texas; her son, Guy W. Orbison, Jr. and his wife Mary of Durango, Colorado; her son, Charley Orbison and his wife Toni of Lindale, Texas.

She also is survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Her grandsons are serving as pallbearers.

Sue was a supportive wife, wonderful mother, and a doting grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and the church. She was an accomplished seamstress, artist, baker, Bible class teacher, and a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. She was loved by everyone she met.
