"The Cold Cup Lady"

Mrs. Birdie Jones gained her wings on Monday, March 31st age 88. Birdie Jones was born in Lewisville Arkansas on September 20th 1936 to the parents Ethel L. Heath Robinson and Johnny Mell Robinson.

Family visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Elmwood Funeral Chapel.

Birdie was the mother of 8 children and later adopted a 9th, her granddaughter. She moved to Abilene, Texas on January 7th, 1970 and worked for various people doing home cleaning until she gained full employment with Shady Oaks Nursing Center in food service from 1976 to 1980. Later, she took a step further and gained employment in food service as well at the Abilene State School from November 5, 1981 until she retired on February 29, 1997. Shortly after retirement, she just couldn't sit still so she gained employment with Home Instead as an in-home caregiver from 2002 - 2004.

She was preceded in death by: Her oldest son, Kenneth Wayne Robinson of Abilene, Husband 1 Arthur Jones of Dallas, Texas, Husband 2 Samuel Donnis Fields of Abilene, Husband 3 Jesse B. Williams Sr. of Abilene, Special Sister Alice Johnson of Texarkana, Arkansas, 2 grandsons Edward Mason and Brandon Reed, and 3 great-grandbabies, Jaden, Kaden, and Ry'Lien.

Left to Cherish her memories: Her children - Oldest to Youngest: Carl Robinson, Vickie Jones, Darrel Jones, Mary Jones-Jay and son-in-law Jamie Jay, Teresa Jones, Camille Fields, all of Abilene, Jesse Williams Jr. and daughter-in-law Paula Booker-Williams of Round Rock, TX, adopted granddaughter/daughter Ayanna Williams of Abilene, special son-in law Lonnie Jones of Abilene, and the Saucedo Family. A host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-great Grandchildren, Family, Friends and her cold cup kids.
