Brenda Morris

Brenda Gayle Morris, 64, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Abilene. Her graveside service with the Reverend Joe Welsh officiating, will be held at 2:00 PM today, Friday, April 11 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 5701 HWY 277 South in Abilene. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM the day of the service at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Brenda was born on February 13, 1944 in Winnsboro, Texas the daughter of R.L. King and Dovie Waldine White. She graduated from Snyder High School and on July 7, 1962 she married Alvin Andrew Morris. She had been a resident of Abilene since 1962 and worked in Cafeteria management for AISD for many years, retiring in 2001. Brenda loved animals; she raised birds and enjoyed showing dogs. She was a member of the View Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Morris of Abilene; two daughters, Vicki Morris of Abilene and Teresa Leigh Terri Fillmon and husband Larry of Haskell; her mother, Waldine King Rains of Snyder; one brother, William King of Sweetwater; two sisters, Pat Jones of Snyder and Carolyn Grimes of Sweetwater; and two grandchildren, Steven and Bailey Fillmon of Haskell.
