Byron Clover

Byron Eugene Clover, aged 61, passed away on 29 December 2024.

Byron was born December 25, 1963 in Hampton, Virginia. He grew up in Abilene TX and lived there all his life. He was employed for over thirty years as an automotive technician by several shops. He became known locally for his craft and was highly reputed as being one of the finest mechanics in the trade.

Byron was quite the character and very charismatic. He didn't require much introduction to strangers since folks would soon migrate to him due to his strong presence. Upon meeting Byron, like him or not, you never knew what you were going to get. The same held true for ANYONE - even friends, co-workers or family.

In his free time, Byron was a water dog, meaning that if it could be done in, on or around a lake, he could be found in the middle of it. Byron also had a knack for fixing things. Even things that weren't broken. Then - he might finish fixing it...or he might not. Either way, he tackled all projects with enthusiasm and grit.

Byron was predeceased by his father, Craig V. Clover, and his mother, Hazel Maxine Clover (Osborn). Byron is survived by his son, Tim H. Clover (Abilene TX). He is also survived by his brothers, Earl W. Clover (Millersville TN) and Kevin R. Clover (Corinth TX).

Byron lived his life on his on terms and that is the way he wanted to go out. He was stubborn that way. As such, he requested that there will be no funeral service. He also requested cremation and for his ashes to be scattered into his two favorite local lakes.

So, the next time you find yourself at Ft Phantom Lake or Coleman Lake, say a few words for Byron Clover.
