Carlos Garcia Jr.

Carlos Garcia Jr. passed away on June 30, 2017 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Carlos was born on September 6, 1959 to Carlos Sr. and Beatrice Garcia. He was raised and spent his life in Abilene where he worked in the masonry industry since he was 14 years old. Carlos was a family man who always loved spending time with his children. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. One of his favorite things was sitting outside on his back patio, listening to music and drinking sweet tea.

He is survived by his three children, Diane Garcia of Denton, TX, Carlos Garcia III & Tracy (wife) of San Antonio, TX, and Donna & George Rodriguez (husband) of Abilene, TX; four step-children, Sharon & Chris Jeter (husband) of Abilene, TX, Frances & Ricky Camacho (husband) of Clyde, TX, Connie & Mark Ross (husband) of Abilene, TX and Alex & Cynthia Escobar (wife) of Abilene, TX; granddaughter, Lourdes Garcia of San Antonio, TX; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice & Danny Martinez (husband) of Abilene; one brother, Artie & Joann (wife) Olvera of Abilene; and brother-in-law, Ed Bitzel of Shady Shores, TX.

Carlos was preceded in death by both his parents, Carlos Sr. and Beatrice Garcia of Abilene, TX; sisters, Mary Bitzel of Shady Shores, TX and Sylvia Rios of Abilene, TX.
