Carola Faye Donnell-Phillips passed away on October 14, 2022, at her home in Coleman County, Texas at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving family. Carola was born May 3, 1950, to Luella Faye and James Carol Donnell in Seymour, Texas.
Carola is survived by her husband, Kevin Phillips, who has been the love of her life for over 30 years. Carola has three children, daughter, Regina Tedder, and husband Robert of Tolar, TX, Son, Roy Sconyers, and wife Nena of Bells, TX, daughter, Allyn Shivers of Coleman, TX. Sister, Kaye Wade, and husband Frank of Hudson Oaks, TX, Lisa Simmons and husband Larry of Hudson Oaks, TX, Brother Earl Donnell, and partner Brenda Smart of Tuscola, TX. Grandchildren are Cole Riley Hillman and wife McCrae, Emma Faye Tedder, Riley Faye Sconyers, Garrett Owen Tedder, Daysha Faye Shivers, Dayla Jean Shivers, KJ Shivers, and her great-granddaughters are Parker and River Hillman. Extended grandchildren are Mandi Tedder, Taylor Stoker, Jordan Rovi, and Cameron Farmer.
Carola was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Travis Earl and Tommye Fay Findley, Father, James Carol Donnell, Nephew, Travis Donnell, Mother, Luella Faye Taylor, and Sister, Sherri Probst.
For a short time, Carola lived in the Dallas area, however, she lived most of her life in Abilene, TX, and finally the last 20 years or so in Coleman County with her husband, Kevin.
Carola was adventurous and well-traveled. She has traveled to all 50 states, but Texas was where her heart was. The light of her soul was bright which was felt in her presence everywhere she went. Her husband, children, and entire family were loved so deeply that her loss will be felt eternally. Carola loved her pets, livestock, and garden. Riding the country roads, relaxing, and listening to music were one of her favorite things to do. She was raised by a loving mother alongside her sisters and brother. They were the bedrock of her everyday life. Outside of Christmas and birthdays, Carola looked for any reason to be surrounded by her loved ones. Being with her family brought her the happiest moments in her life. Carola was and will forever be loved by those who she crossed paths with. She is in God's hands but will forever be in our hearts.
