Carolyn Shott

Carolyn Ann Shott, 73, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. A receiving of friends will be 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Family Center, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A graveside service will begin immediately following visitation at 3:30 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in Elwood Memorial Park.

Carolyn was born January 24, 1949, in Pampa, Texas. She graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. Carolyn worked for Dunigan, Pride and, the longest for AEP. To know Carolyn was to love her. She held her family and friends close to her heart. Carolyn will be missed but, in our hearts, forever.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jana Lee Shott; her mother, Lydia Nancy Guy McHugh; her grandparents, Buford and Ila Mae Guy.

Carolyn is survived by her siblings, Eddie McHugh and his wife Nadine, Tommy McHugh and his wife Debbie, and Nancy McHugh Webb and her husband Steve; her stepdaughter, Stefanie Beaver and her husband Brent; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Special care was given to Carolyn at the end of life by LuAnn and Jess Madison and Ryleigh. They will continue to care for her precious Schnauzer, Pookie.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Taylor Jones Humane Society.
