Catherine Mayhugh

Cathy Mayhugh, 51, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 23rd in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in the Caps Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Cathy was born in Houston, Texas on September 13, 1959 the daughter of Leroy Dailey and Edna Strohmaier Dailey. She came to Abilene in 1978 where she has worked as a waitress at both the WesttoGo Truck Stop and Flying J Truck Stop for the past 25 years. Cathy was a practical joker and she enjoyed gambling and playing Bingo. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Wilson of Abilene three sons, Johnny Mayhugh and wife Amber of Clyde, David Dailey of Abilene and Curtis Mayhugh and Katie of Abilene sisters, Geneva Mata and Susie Factor both of Houston brother, John Dailey of Galveston exhusband and friend, Ricky Mayhugh of Clyde her grandchildren, Kylar, Trent, Colt and Troy and numerous nieces and nephews.
