Catherine Reeves

Catherine Elizabeth Reeves, 100, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Richardson. Her graveside service with Dr. Don Hogg of Ft. Worth officiating will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Mausoleum in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Catherine was born on December 15, 1912 in Hammond, Louisiana the daughter of Arthur Overton Miller and Eva Viola Atkins Miller. She graduated from Central High School in San Angelo in 1930 and attended Business College for 2 years. She lived in Chula Vista, California for 20 years and Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 5 years before moving to Abilene. Catherine enjoyed making a warm home for her family, loving on her grandchildren, and traveling. She had a sweet disposition and loved everyone and everyone loved her in return.

Survivors include her daughters, Eve Harrison of Richardson and Judy McSherry Massey and husband C.R. of Abilene five grandchildren, Patrick McSherry and wife Sophia, Cathy Phillips and husband Bill, Kevin McSherry and wife Connie, Heather Ake and husband Scott, and Carl Martin and wife Sandra 11 great grandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild.

Her brother, Alpheus Miller and three husbands, Claude Harris, James Tesney, and Willie Reeves preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, Hendrick Hospice Care, or the donors favorite charity.
