Charles Wilson

Our Special little brother, Charles Randall Randy Wilson, 49, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 at a local hospital. His funeral service, with Bill Spencer and James Shipman officiating will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19 at the Abilene State School Chapel with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Randy was born on October 14, 1958 the son of Austin and Elsie Wilson. He loved sports, music, bowling, playing in the bell choir and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; he always looked forward to watching every game with his family and had a special memory of attending one game in Dallas as a surprise from his cousins.

Randy loved music and was a great fan of Elvis. His brother Pete once surprised him with a trip to Graceland. What special memories were made on that trip. Knowing Randy was such a music fan, a dear friend, Nikki Mitchell, would often send him autographed pictures and CDs of some of the country music singers in Nashville. The family would like to thank her for her kindness and thoughtfulness.

Randy lived all his life with his mother until her death in March of 2002 and then with his sister until his declining health made it necessary for him to reside at Abilene State School. The family wishes to thank all the staff of Abilene State School for such loving care given to their little brother during his time of need, and very dear friend, Deborah Robinson, for all the calls and visits she made to him. We all loved this little guy and will miss him so much.

Survivors include his sister, Sharon Kelley of Abilene; brothers, Pete Green of Clyde, Ronnie Green of Flagler, Colorado; and seven nieces and nephews.

One brother, Gerald Green of Cloudcroft, NM preceded him in death in 2005
