Charles Ross

Charles Francis Ross, 95, was born on June 11, 1915 in Viola, Kansas and died March 1, 2011 in Abilene, Texas. He was a veteran of the Navy serving in WWII and also a member of the University Church of Christ. He married R. Vivian Farley in December, 1941 and after her death he married Marjorie Beeman in October, 1986. Charles is survived by his wife Marjorie Ross, a son Mike Ross of Abilene, two step children, Gary Aamon and wife Paula of Austin and Tammi Monzingo and husband Danny of Big Lake. He has six grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents A. N. and Edna Kerr of Tulsa, OK Vivian Ross, his first wife a half sister, Juanita Hernandez and a granddaughter, Marshaun Ross. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 4th from 68 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, and a graveside service with military honors will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Elmwood Memorial Park.
