Charles Willis, 90, of Abilene passed away Monday September 22, 2014 in Abilene.

Graveside service will be held on Friday September 26 at 11:00 AM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.

Charles was born on April 5, 1924 in Dawson, TX to the late Charles A. and Mamie E. Wyatt. He married Colleen Hill on April 16, 1949 in Temple, TX. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage together. Charles served his country in WWII and Korea. He flew fighters and bombers completing 100 missions over Korea and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired after 22 years of service and began a career in AC repair and installation in the Temple area. Charles was a member of Baker Heights Church of Christ.

Charles is survived by his wife Colleen a son, Stephen Willis and wife Marilyn of Abilene, a daughter, Phyllis Willis of Washington D.C., a son, Gary Willis and wife Mary of Ferris, TX grandchildren, Autumn Cauthen, Amanda Willis Horton, Seth Willis, Jordan Willis, Meleah Willis great grandchildren, Ainsley Cauthen and Chase Cauthen a sister Betty Rae and husband James Garner.
