Chloie Vanmeter

Jean was born April 19, 1935 in Big Springs, Texas to W.G. Deel and Mayme Viola Merritt Deel.

She married Grover Cleveland Stevens on May 31, 1950. They had 4 children, Kindell James and wife Rita, Linda Jean Grove and husband Paul, Billy Lynn Stevens, and David Dewayne Stevens and wife Donna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and on November 24, 1973 she was preceded in death by her husband Grover. She married Robert C. VanMeter July 6, 1974 and she was preceded in death by him August 14, 2010. She also has two- deceased brothers, Joe Allen Deel, and Billy Devern Deel.

Jean has one brother, George A. Deel and wife Mimmie. She has 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

During her life she worked as an LVN at Hendrick Medical Center and several nursing homes throughout the city. She was an above average bowler, loved her church and church family, was a member of Easter Star, collected elephant figurines, and Avon bottles. And she loved loved loved to play bingo.
