Claudia L. Oliphant, 69, boarded her Eternal Cruise Ship to Heaven on May 28, 2016.
Claudia entered this world on December 19, 1946 in Amsterdam New York. From there she traveled and lived in many other places. In 1971 she traveled to Texas, where she eventually called Abilene home.
She worked several jobs including Walmart, where she loved working in the fabric department and made her own costumes to wear for the annual Halloween contest. She won first place for many of the costumes.
She was very gifted and creative in many areas including sewing, crocheting, knitting and various arts and crafts.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma E. Fisher and her aunt, Elizabeth (Betty) Moyer.
She is survived by her father, Charles (Pop) Fisher; sisters Maureen Fisher and Alicia (Larry) Detar; and her children, Timothy (Teresa) Stillwell, Dawn (Michael) Diaz, Anita (Juston) White, Raquel Stillwell, Amber Oliphant and Angel Oliphant.
She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday June 25th, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, with a balloon release following the memorial. If you can, and would like, please wear blue in remembrance of Claudia or purple in honor of the recent loss of Raquel Stillwell.
