Cleda Wieser

Cleda Gail Wieser, 81, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 in Abilene. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South from 4:30 till 6:00 PM. Her graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 19, 2010 at Andrews County Old Cemetery in Andrews, TX. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 PM at McNett Funeral Home, 750 N. Main Street in Andrews.

Cleda was born September 24 in Weatherford, OK to Earl and Dora Weese. She married Glen Wieser on January 1, 1948. She worked as a nurse for two years in Andrews before returning to College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM and receiving her degree in 1968. She worked as a school teacher in Andrews for 26 years, was an active member of First Baptist Church in Andrews and also Broadview Baptist Church after moving to Abilene. She enjoyed volunteering in the church library as well as other organizations in the community. Cleda was very creative, artistic and musical. One of her favorite things to do was to have the family gathered around the piano to sing favorite hymns while she played.

Cleda is survived by four children, Ken Wieser and wife Judy of Alvin, Karen Clemmer and husband Mike of Abilene, Karol Mann and husband Tommy of Corpus Christi, Kerri Snook and husband John of Cypress ten grandchildren, Keith Wieser, Jana Wieser, Kris Wieser, Kaci St. John, Kyle Clemmer, Kim Ferguson, Klint Mann, Kori Mann, Kregg Snook, Konnor Snook two great grandchildren, Karson and Karis Wieser 1 brother Jim Weese.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen her parents two brothers, Eldon and Wayne Weese and one sister, Carol Francis.
