Clifford Hollis

Clifford Wesley Hollis passed away in his home surrounded by family on September 13, 2019. Cliff was born on January 15, 1936 to Robert Wesley Hollis and Dolly Grissom Hollis in Piggott, Arkansas.

Cliff served as a Chief Master Sargent in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and earned a Bronze Star Medal after serving in the Vietnam War. Later, Cliff would serve as a Deputy Chief for the Taylor County Department of Corrections.

Survivors of Clifford Hollis include a son, Bryan Max Hollis (and wife, Sarah), granddaughters, Christy Hollis Hamaty (and husband, Ben) and Vanna Hollis Winn (and husband, Jimmy), and great grandsons Braxton Wesley Hollis and Gavin Wesley Hamaty.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Elaine Hollis, his parents, his sister, Gwen Barnett, and two sons, Ricky Lynn Hollis and James Wesley Hollis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 10:00a.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Big Country. The family would to express their gratitude to HOBC for the love and care that was provided to Clifford when he needed it.
