Cliffton Pop Morris, 51, was called home to be with the Lord, February 15, 2014 at his home. His funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm, Macedonia Baptist Church, 608 North 7th Street, with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014, from 6:00pm 8:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Cliffton was born October 6, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas to Gene and Ruby Morris. He worked for The Humane Society of North Texas in Fort Worth, for 15 plus years. Cliff loved animals and had a horse which his nieces loved to ride. He was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He graduated from Carter Riverside in Fort Worth and had a Culinary Arts degree. He loves his family and was always happy.
Preceding him in death are his sister, Heather Katrina Morris, grandmothers, Ozeal Conner and Hattie Hill grandfathers, Arie Hill and Preston Morris 2 aunts, Donnie Gail Conner and Lavern Thomas and 2 uncles, Marion Conner Jr. and Garylen Pimpton.
He leaves behind his son, Sarvesh Cliffton Morris of Forest Hill, Texas his parents, Gene Morris Pamof Oklahoma and Ruby Conner Morris of Abilene Grandfather, Marion Conner Sr. of Abilene 2 sisters, Elizabeth MorrisBrown Billye of Abilene, Brenda Bennett Gerald Sr. of Arlington 6 brothers, Anthony Morris Bettyof Fort Worth, Samuel Morris Gwenof Houston, Calvin Morris Jackie of St Louis, Missouri, Timothy Morris Sue, and Michael Morris of Oklahoma sisterinlaw, Shelia Cumby Morris of Fort Worth 2 aunts, Octavia Collins of Florida and Vanessa Pimpton of Lubbock 5 uncles, Douglas Conner Toni, Bobby Conner Karen, Terry Conner and Odell Thomas, all of Abilene, Ocie Conner Pearlie of Houston great aunt, Helen Conner of Rotan great uncle, Johnny Byrd of Abilene besides his son, he has 5 very special children, Lee Author, Deivon of Fort Worth, Skylar, Shay, and Saveon of Forest Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his family at the Humane Society of North Texas.
To a very special nephew, Jeremy Washington, on behalf of the family we are very grateful and love you unconditionally for taking out of your time to take care of your uncle Cliff, you have done a wonderful job. A heartfelt thank you too Alana Maddox, Dr. Takaaki Wada, Yolanda, and the Integra Care Hospice Staff for your love and compassion.
