Corando Flores

Corando Garcia Flores was born January 7, 1937, in Ramirez, Texas, to Inocencio and Amanda Flores. He married Maria Maldonado September 25, 1955. They had five children: Adela, Freddy, Mike, Corando Jr, and Robert. Corando spent most of his life in Abilene, Texas, and enjoyed listening to Spanish music, playing BINGO, watching sports and old-Western movies, fishing, playing pool and traveling with his family. His biggest love was being around his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There was not much that slowed Corando down or stood in his way—he truly lived until his passing! He was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings Olga Ramirez, and Idolina Rodriguez, his son Freddy, and his beloved wife Maria. He is survived by daughter Adela Garcia and her husband Victor of Anson; son Mike and his wife Tracey of Northlake; son Corando Jr. of Abilene; son Robert of Abilene; grandchildren Jetta Reyes, Michael Flores, Aaron Flores, Eliza Fuentes, Chris Flores, Victor Garcia II, Trinity Flores, and Marisa Flores; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings Hortencia Hernandez, Inocencio Jr., and Juan Flores.
Visitation is at Elmwood Funeral Home, February 4, 6:00-8:00 PM; masks must be worn inside the building at all times. There will be a private graveside service on Friday, February 5. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
