Corina Lopez

Cora C. Lopez, 86, of Abilene was taken home by the angels to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday March 25, 2018. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 9:30 AM, Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Cora was born April 8, 1931 in Eaton, Colorado to the late Manuel and Rosita Cruz. She married Jose A. Lopez on December 5, 1953 in Greeley Colorado. Cora owned and operated Cora's Beauty Salon for over 50 years. She enjoyed her work and friendship with her ladies. She also enjoyed being a member of the Abilene Bowling Association from 1978 to 2018. On February 17, 2018 she placed 1st in the 71st Annual Women's City Tournament. Cora was a member of Bethel Temple Christian Center.

Cora was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Jose A. Lopez and daughter Alma Lopez.

Cora is survived by son Jose Jr. of Abilene, TX. Daughter Olivia and husband Bill Wolfe of Cresson, TX. Son Tony Lopez and wife Cindy of Arlington, TX. Granddaughters Valarie Lopez and Jamie Jensen. Grandsons Lee McKeever and Jordan Jensen and wife Lindsey. Great grandsons Jackson, Davis and Mason Jensen and Caulder Ward. Great granddaughter Kinsley. Her brother Manuel Cruz of Ohio and best friend Jennie Ortiz. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
