Crystal Mignon Finley, 64, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. She was born on March 3, 1961, in San Diego, California, to her mother, Martha Sharpe. Crystal graduated from Lincoln High School in San Diego, where she began her lifelong journey of exploring the world and making deep connections with those around her.
Throughout her life, Crystal embraced a spirit of adventure. She traveled and lived in many different places, never afraid to step outside her comfort zone. Her courage and curiosity were matched only by her incredible sense of humor, which brought joy to everyone she encountered.
Crystal had many passions that brought her happiness. She loved to braid hair, a talent that allowed her to share her creativity and care with others. She also enjoyed cooking and indulging in her favorite activities like playing slot machines and Bingo, where her cheerful nature always shone through.
At her core, Crystal was a caregiver, always putting others first. She devoted herself to caring for her mother, Martha, in her final days with unwavering love and dedication. Also devoted her time to helping people with special needs. Above all, Crystal cherished her family, and she was especially active in the lives of her beloved grandchildren. Her love for them was boundless, and she took great pride in supporting and nurturing them.
Crystal will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her adventurous spirit, warm heart, and infectious laughter will live on in the memories of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Sharpe; and her sister, Kimberly Finley.
She is survived by her children, Latoya Pinson (Andre), Isiah Beemen, Aquill Beemen, Devon Beemen (Meagan), and Ashia Brown (Nathan); grandchildren, Jatoria, Janiah, Jeremiah, Amarion, Devon Jr., Lacey, Elijah, Julian, Carter, Carson, and Kamari; her sisters, Sally Clayborne (Travis), Rochelle Gray, Cathy, Valerie, and Gwinn; one niece, Tausha Clayborne; nephews, Tyrce Clayborne, and Duane "Scotty" Gilbert.
Rest in peace, Crystal. You are loved and will be forever remembered.
