Cynthia Sargent

Cynthia Ann Sargent passed away August 1, 2018. A time of visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Cynthia was born March 7, 1953 to Wayne and Coleen Qualls in Sulfur Springs, Texas. She married the love of her life John Sargent on December 3, 1968 and they enjoyed 50 wonderful years together. She worked many years for the Adult Daycare in Abilene and TDCJ. Cynthia was a caregiver to everyone she knew, the true leader of her family, and was always there for you.
She was very loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Coleen Qualls; and one sister, Sherry Popham.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, John Sargent; two children, Cindy Wheeler and husband Mark, and John (Bubba) Sargent and wife Alison; grandchildren, John Wheeler, Chase Wheeler, Marcus Palmer, Justin Sargent, Zachary Sargent, Bradley Sargent, Tiffeny Mitchell, Blake Mitchell, Kristin Mitchell, Kayla Smith; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Donnie Wray Qualls, Susy Carlile and husband Edwin; and Sandy Richards and husband Jim; two sister-in-laws, Etta Hargrove and Betty Sargent; one brother-in-law, Bud Sargent; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
