Dallas Jordan

Dallas Alline Jordan, age 102, passed away August 28 2011 at Saint Marys Care Center in Madison, WI. She was born February 21, 1909 in Hamby, Texas, the oldest daughter of Fannie and Orlander Crews.

Alline will be fondly remembered for her dedication to her family and her unfailing support of her children and grandchildren. She worked for over 30 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Abilene, TX and was proudly considered a Telephone Pioneer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas for over 70 years.

Alline is survived by her children Lana Jordan Kearney and husband Tim of Madison, WI, Jim Jordan and wife Cindy of San Antonio, TX, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and her sister, Ruby Johnson of Abilene, TX.

Her grandchildren include Michael Jordan and wife Amanda of Yuma, AZ, Brian Kearney and wife Christy of Albuquerque, NM, Sandra Hammock and husband Kevin of Albuquerque, NM, Jill Garrett of San Antonio, TX, James Jordan and wife Kelly of San Antonio, TX, Larry Jordan and wife Stacey of Houston, TX, Rachel McDonald and husband Ken of Orlando, FL, and Jason Balusek of Austin, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walton Jordan, two brothers Francis and Marshall Crews, and one sister, Louise Batis.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Abilene with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at Elmwood Memorial Funeral Home Friday, September 9, 6 PM 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in her name can be sent to First Baptist Church, 333 North 3rd Street, Abilene, Texas or St. Marys Care Center, 3401 Maple Grove Drive, Madison, WI 53719.
