Dalton Dean Priest, 87, of Clyde went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on, August 25, 2022. A visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Renfro. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, next to his wife Nancy.
Dean was born January 13, 1935 in Nolen, TX to Jessie and Lathel Priest. He was a veteran, serving four years aboard the USS Saint Paul CA73 during the last nine months of the Korean War.
He worked for El Paso Products/ Burlington Resources at various locations and retired after 37 years. He worked for various companies until his final retirement at age 78.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eula.
Dean is survived by his children, Diane Dawson, and husband Bob, Scott Priest and wife Susan, Brenda Zetz and husband Bode; two step daughters, Tracy Mick and Betty Atnip, two brothers, Sam Priest and wife Corrine of Greenville, North Carolina and Wayne Priest of Moline, Illinois, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. All were loved greatly.
He loved his church of worship and bass fishing in that order.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; Brother Gene in 2011; and sister, Constance Lorraine Priest in 1950.
