Daniel Goetz

Daniel Ford Goetz, 77, of Abilene, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service.

Ford was born on March 14, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to the late William Glenn Goetz and Ethel Kee Goetz. He married Delores Baker on April 4, 1962 in Abilene, Texas. Ford worked as a Truck Driver for many years for Gooch Packing Company and Merchants Motor Lines. He was longtime member of Southside Baptist Church. Ford was proud to be a Master Mason and member of the Blue Lodge.

Ford is survived by his wife, Delores Goetz; children, Steven Goetz and wife Darla, Darrell Goetz and wife Lisa; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Goetz, Karissa Holmes, Kristina Goetz; 2 great grandchildren, MaKayla Holmes and Hadleigh Holmes; his mother, Ethel Goetz; 2 siblings, Pete Goetz and wife Bobbye, Glenda Stunden and husband Terry; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
